Bill has spent his career leading global information security and information technology teams at start-up, mid-size and Fortune 1000 companies. Navdeep received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary and Boston University, respectively. Navdeep also held senior leadership roles at Empirix building their analytics platform capable of processing billions of telecommunication records per day to churn out insights to help customers, and Mzinga building their analytics platform to support Social Network Analysis of millions of users to drive human behavior metrics. This cloud also supported AI/ML projects for various healthcare constituents, and hundreds of various other data and analytics solutions for thousands of users. Prior to joining Abacus, Navdeep was Senior Director of Global Data Warehousing at IQVIA, building and managing one of the largest healthcare data lakes in the world, both in a hybrid and multi-cloud deployment model globally. Building platforms that can find the signal from the noise, churning through massive amounts of data and delivering results and outcomes fast enough to be meaningful and impactful has been driving his career for startups and multi-billion-dollar companies alike. Navdeep brings over 20 years of engineering experience, a decade of which was building scalable data, analytics, and AI/ML cloud platforms for social media, telecommunication, and healthcare enterprises. Navdeep is the Chief Technology Officer at Abacus Insights, overseeing the technical development of the Abacus platform, including the ability to further scale the architecture, data management, interoperability, analytics, and secure cloud computing. Outside of the office, Minal spends time with his wife and two sons, skiing in the winter and trying to play golf in the summer. He has also served as an associate with McKinsey and Company. He holds a BA and an MD from Boston University and an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he served as a staff physician and faculty at Harvard Medical School for nearly a decade. His entrepreneurial experience includes founding Care Management International, a pioneer in leveraging offshore clinical talent to support payer clinical functions, which was successfully sold to iHealth Technologies – now Cotiviti (COTV) – and Vayu Technologies, a telecommunications platform developed by Bell Labs and spun out and sold to SeniorLink. Prior to this he has held senior roles at payer organizations most recently serving as SVP and Chief Strategy Officer of Horizon BCBSNJ. Minal is a serial physician entrepreneur who founded Abacus Insights to serve payer needs around data integration and insight generation.
